Hudson Valley Veterinary Dermatology was founded by Dr. Jeanne Budgin, a board-certified veterinary dermatologist^®. To Dr. Budgin, HVVD is more than a dermatology practice – it’s the expression of her vision for veterinary care - ensuring that every pet and pet parent are provided the level of compassionate care, time, and attention they deserve.

Our Fear Free^® certified team is committed to reducing your pet’s anxiety and stress. We encourage you to be intimately involved in visits. We use gentle handling techniques, work on the floor when preferred, and utilize other methods to enrich the patient experience.

Outside of HVVD, Dr. Budgin spends her time sharing her knowledge and passion with veterinarians, both locally and internationally, with the aim of elevating the level of care they provide to their own patients. She is the co-coordinator of the Global Veterinary Dermatology Education Group, board member of the World Association for Veterinary Dermatology, and former president of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology.
